Suddenly my strong urge to download a Howie Day album makes sense...
Honestly though, I think I love this song for the same reason I love any of the slower National songs; ability to make moving music without being huge (sonically speaking). For me, the horns that start to bubble up on the back half of the song are what I really enjoy.
I went to find another song from the album to insert into the following phrase: "Besides, everyone knows the low-point of High Violet is "XXX." Unfortunately, I could not find a weak spot on the album (this may be the first time I noticed that). Album of the year?

I love High Violet, but this is honestly the low-point for me... at 1:30 I can't help but sing "You and I... collide."

If I had to post today... it'd be top three for sure.
